The Asia Pacific Rally Championship is one of the FIAs regional motor sport championships, and is a feeder series for the highest level of rallying, the World Rally Championship.
The APRC season sees competitors contest rallying events in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, China, India, Malaysia and India. There is a wide variety of road conditions and a wide variety of challenges. This is one of the reasons the series is so popular with European teams wishing to ‘blood’ young drivers in preparation to stepping up to the WRC.
We needed a fresh look for the APRC website – bright, active, fast and functional. Bruce delivered on all counts.
Murray Brown – APRC Coordinator
In 2013, the APRCs web site was looking a bit tired and dated, and ready for a new design. Additionally, the old site did not cater for many of its visitors who used phones or tablets to view the site.
The design not only incorporates a mobile-responsive design, it features a carousel of striking images from APRC events, plus parallax animation of the APRC logo and event dates.
The site is graphically-rich and incorporates image tiles which link through to news articles, while a sponsor block sits just above the fold and links to videos from the series just below.
Since then, improvements have been on-going, with an updated theme designed in 2017, and custom plugins written to import legacy news content from a legacy news web site and a custom YouTube playlist and player.
