Subaru Partsbox is a site like no other. In collaboration with Subaru Australia and Maximum Motorsport, Subaru Partsbox provides the public with access Subaru genuine parts at massively discounted prices.
Built on Woocommerce and a custom WordPress theme, Subaru Partsbox holds a catalogue of more than 16,000 individual parts. Everything from bolts and washers, to complete engines.
With such a huge parts catalogue, the standard Woocommerce importer just wasn’t going to ‘cut it’.
The solution was to write a custom product importer, allowing the extensive spreadsheets of parts can be uploaded and then asynchronously imported into the Woocommerce catalogue. Incorporated into the plugin are business rules that provide for variable discounts on certain products and checked to ensure the final price is correctly calculated.
